09:07 pm - Sports of 2004

I like sports very much, specially swimming, softball (baseball), judo, marathon and volleyball!!! and I have gone to swimming club for about 10 years, also when I was a junnior high school student, I belonged to softball club☆☆

In this summer Olympic game was held, and japanese got many medal!!! I received much impression from them!!! that about two-week is happy for me!!!

But there were not only happy news but also bad news in japanese sports of this year★★★ in japanese baseball strike was practiced for the first time, because there were many problems between players and managers. the biggest problem is consolidation of team. they have argue about those problems for the long time,  finally two teams were consolidate, and new team was made!!! new japanese baseball start from next season!!! I expect that japanese baseball will be all right through this reform.

I think that sports make us happy and give us much impression!!! recently  I become soft through lack of exercise, so I want to exercise next year. I think that sweeting is very important for our health!!

I found a interesting sports news!! please read it!!! this is the article!!!!

07:50 pm

I read one article on BBC NEWS!!!

Some of Britain's Olympic athletes were diagnosed with asthma just weeks before this summer's games, say experts.

And the experts told the British Thoracic Society winter meeting thay uesd a new, highly accurate, test to identify the athletes who were affected. So forth-seven athlites were tasted using Eucapnic Voluntary Hyperventilation(EVH). It was used prior to this year's Olympics because it was the frist time the International Olympic Committee Medical Commission required athletes to proved evidence of their asthmatic condition, and therefore if they could use prescribed medication curing the Games.

"Ultimately this will provide a more acurate diagnosis that will help the athletes know when they do or don't need to take asthama madication."

I was surprised to learn Olympic athletes have been asthmatic, especially that Radcliff, who is a marathon runner, was one of those treated. She is asthmatic, but I think she is a great runner!!!! because she has a good treatment for asthma. I don't know if any asthmatic Japanese have a treatment for asthma like the one in the UK. So, for japanese sprinters in the Olympics, we must think about a good treatment for asthma!!!

07:55 pm - global warming

I'm very busy now, because I must write a report untill next Wednesday. My theme is "global warming" But it is very difficult for me!!! I want to investigate about difference of people's opinion for global warming.

For example, we have to reduce carbon dioxide to improve global warming, but some people think that we should reduce carbon dioxide for "environment", others think that reducing carbon dioxide damage ourself own country' business!! I can understand both opinion★★ I want to know how many people think about global warming, reducing carbon dioxide.

I think that global warming is problem of world, so everyone must think about global warming and act!!

09:53 pm - kyoto

Today, I went to kiyomizu-temple in Kyoto with my family☆☆☆ Because light-up of kiyomizu-temple started since yesterday, and it is held untill the middle of December!!

A view, which I saw from kiyonizu, was as beautiful as a view, which I saw in tokyo in this summer vacation(^3^) So I took many pictures by my mobile phone.

When I went back to Kyoto station, I descended sannen-slope. There were many gift shops in which some souvenir were sold. I bought a small makeup pouch there. Its cloth was like kimono, so I like it very much!!! Also I ate many food on its way to kyoto station, for example mitarashi-dango, croquette, and cream puff, these were very delicious.

In taxi to Kyoto station, a driver talked about temples and shrines of Kyoto!! It is very fun for me to hear his story!! I have been to a little temple and shrine untill now. I heard his story and I thought I wanted to visit many temples and shrines!!!

10:56 pm - kids in quake zone show signs of PTSD

In Niigata, many school canceled classes for a indefinite period.

The reason is that many students are scared even when floors vibrate due to people's walking or running or burst into tears without reason, showing classic signs of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Drawing on the lessons learned from those who developed PTSD after the Great Hanshin Earthquake in 1995, parents and teachers are reading comic books and showing movies to take the children's minds off tnings.

Now for solving these problems, caregivers started storytelling sessions with picture cards at nearby shelters. Also evacuated mothers read comic books to children and teachers brought in videos and DVDs and screened Disney movies and animated movie.

The 2-year-old boy, who was miraculously rescued, watched videos an animals and wild birds, too. And he seemed to have slept well that night.

Recently, I watch news on TV that many famous people visit Niigata prefecture, and many sufferers have big smiles on their faces, especially many children!!! I am very glad to watch this news!!

I hope that they have real big smiles☆☆☆

06:48 pm - vegetable!!!!

I like vegetable, and my mather often cooks vegetable dishes. In winter, my family eat Nabe once a week. It is very simple, warms oreselves and we can eat a lot of vegetables. So I like it very much!!!

But I won't be able to eat Nabe(><) Because this year, many typhoons came to Japan, so these did the vegetable extensive damage. Therefore now vegetable is very veyr expensive!!! the price is about three times more expenxive than the normal price!!!!

I work part time in a supermarket, and many people bought a lot of vegetables everyday. But now a little people buy vegetable!!!

07:30 pm - Red Light Runners!!

I read one article!!!

The San Francisco Department of Traffic is putting cameras at street corners, and these take pictures of cars running red lights. Also it is said that running red lights causes about 1000 accidents a year.

I watch cars running red lights, and I think that these are very very dangerous(><) I am said by my mother everyday that my own life is much more important than five minutes late!!!!

In Japan, there aren't cameras, which take picutures of cars running red lights. However when Traffic Campaign is held, policeofficers stand in a hidden place to take action against cars, which don't stop where must stop, run red lights and drive too fast. But I don't know why thay hide. I always think that they don't hide and should direct before drivers break the rule of traffic!!!

07:52 pm - mobile phone

Ten or more years of mobile phone use increases thd risk of developing acoustic neuroma, a benign tumor on the auditory nerve accoding to a study released by Sweden's Karolinska Institute.

And the risk is confined to the side of the head where the phone was usually held. However the mobile phone industry has said there is no scientific evidence of negative health effects from use of mobile phones!!!

it was found that " the risk of acoustic neuroma was almost for times higher on the same said as the phone was held and virtually normal on the other side.

I was surprised to read this news. Now almost people use mobile phone, but I think that many people don't know about it. If this news is true, I want someone to find good way for solving this problem.

I read YAHOO News on Oct 14th

08:17 pm - Tokyo

I went to Tokyo with my friends in this summer vaccation!!! I planned that trip on June. At first we wanted to go Yakushima, which is near Okinawa, because we wanted to see Yakusugi, which is very very big tree and have been there for a long time. But in this season typhoon come every year, so I gave up going  Yakushima and We went to Tokyo!!!

We went to Tokyo by nigth bus, because it was very cheep!! There are more trains and skyscrapers in Tokyo than a place, where we live,so when we arrived in Tokyo at first, we were very surprised! We visited many places for two days, for example Shinjuku, Shibuya, Odaiba, Roppongi Asakusa and so on.

A place, which moved me of all places, which we visited is  Roppongihiruzu, where Mori-bill, which is a skyscraper was. We went to fifty-two floor by elevator, and we saw night view. That day, it was very fine, so we could see all of Tokyo. We took many pictures!!! that night view was the most beautiful I've ever seen☆

We are going to go trip next yeat, too. I am looking forwared to that day!!! And I want to go Yakushima someday!!!

01:43 pm - Judo

This week Olympic Game started!! I 'm very very happy, because I like sports!!! I watched judo last night. Ryouko Tani and Tadahiro Nomura got a gold medal, I was moved by watching their games.

Japanese people have expected them to get a gold medal before Olympic Game, so I think that they have much pressure. But Ryouko Tani won two straight, and Tadahiro Nomura won three straight in Olympic game.

Next!!! I 'm looking forward to watching ping-pong, especially Ai Fukuhara!! She is fifteen years old yet!! I expect her!!

10:25 pm - Olympic games

Next month, olympic games is held in Athens. I am looking forward to watching olympic games on TV, especially volleyball, judo, marathon!!!

But we doubt how to choose player for Olympic games. When three marathon runners were chosen, I was looking forward to that time from morning of that day. I wanted Naoko Takahasi to run in Athens, but she wasn't chosen. She ran Tokyo-international marathon, which was one of races to choose runner for Olympic games, all japanese people thought that she won first prize and ran in the best time. However she couldn't win first prize and run in the best time. Although that bad grade, we thougth that she was chosen yet, because she had good records, she got gold medal in last olympic games, and she first ran within two hours-twenty minutes. But she wasn't chosen. they had refered to both past records and time of selection race before, however this time they refered to only time of selection race. It is strange. In addition, they didn't show referring to only time before!!

I think that thay clearly should show us how to choose runners, now we can't understand what standard is. All runner have practiced everyday to run in Athenes for four years, so they must choose fairly!!!

09:30 pm - About election

Next week, House of Councilors election is held in Japan!! I think that this election is very important for Japanese future.

In Japan, there are a few people, who go to election, especially young people. We become twenty years old, and we can have franchise in Japan. However young peaple are not interested in politics, also they think that even if they vote somebody, Japanese politics don't change at all!!! It may be ture, but if we go to election, japanese politics may change. Nobody know about it!!

I think that if they think that they want Japan to change, they should go to election!! Someday Japan may change by that they go to election(0^^0) I can't go to election yet, but I become twenty years old, and I will go to election for my country☆

07:13 pm - Health【Tobacco smoking】

Now many people smoke, but It is bad for our health for smoker and people, who don't smoke.

When I was a junior high school student, I saw a picture of smoker's lung. I was very very surprised, because smoker's lung is much dirtier than people, who don't smoke!! Before I have heard that smoker is apt to cause cancer, in contrast people, who don't smoke, what's more, smoking cause much harm. Also it is bad, that people, who don't smoke, breathe the tobacco fume.

I am still in my minority so I don't smoke now. Even if I become twenty years old, I don't smoke. I don't like tobacco fume and it is very bad for our health!!!

I think that we must keep our health, so we should think about our health seriously. There are many things, which are bad for health and tobacco smoking is one of these. I want smoker to try to not smoke tobacco little by little, and people, who don't smoke, to continue no smoking(0^^0)

I found website about tobacco smoking!! Please look it☆

11:41 pm - Sushi

My favorite food is sushi!! There are many kinds of sushi, for example tuna, salmon, salmon roe, urchin, eel, fatty flesh of tuna fish and so on. Of all others, I like scallop best☆ But sushi is a little expensive, especially fatty flesh of tuna fish, I have eaten it only twice or three times. Therefore I can't go sushi shop many times, so I often buy sushi in supermarket, however I think it is as good as one of sushi shop!! Also there is rotary sushi shop in Japan, it is cheep and good, too.

I write about sushi..........and I want to eat sushi. I will say my mother that tomorrow " I want to eat sushi♪"
